This blog page is a great way to find out what is coming up, whether it is a craft show or a new product that Juanita is making.
Welcome to Handmade by Juanita, my craft business. My name is Juanita Schulze and I love to craft.
Here you can learn a little about me. I have been married for 32 years. We have four adult children and two grandchildren so far. When my children were little, we made tons of crafts from paper, foam, paint, clay, sand, rocks, and beads. They had a blast.
You can learn cross stitch. It is actually as simple as counting the tiny squares on Aida cloth and stitching from corner to corner diagonally by making Xs in each square.
Hi Everyone and Merry Christmas! If you need any handmade scarves, blankets, baby gifts, or elastic hair ties, take a look at my Etsy Shop. There are still some nice gift items available there! Thank you for your support!
This section is about Craft Show Ideas after doing craft shows for 15 years.
I have a few tote bags, trick or treat bags, and small cell phone drawstring bags left on my Etsy shop. They have been discounted as I would like to put up some brand new items so if you are looking for some inexpensive bags for the kids to carry toys or their phones in, take a look. Thank you.
I have just a few of the full aprons that I made from off white canvas and garden print pockets. I will not be making more so if you are thinking of getting one of them, grab them off of my Etsy shop while you can. I am moving on to new designs. These have deep pockets, between 9 and 10 inches deep for your gardening/crafting tools, plus space for your cell phone so you will never misplace it while you are working again, like I used to do. I love these deep pocketed aprons. I sold a bunch of them online and mostly at the craft fairs we did this past spring. There are only six left. Thank you for supporting me and be on the lookout for my new designs.
David from David's Garden Seeds is my husband. He wants some of my gardening aprons for the fall shows we are doing so I am designing some new aprons for gardening, crafting, and for vending. I will put the extras up on my Etsy shop.
I have tried making some crochet hair bands and have successfully finished some. I will be making as many of them as I can to sell this fall at the craft fairs we will be attending. I plan on having sizes for babies, young girls, and adults. If I have any left over, I will put them up on my Etsy Shop for sale.
I have started crocheting hair scrunchies to sell for the fall craft shows along with the elastic hair ties. I am making them from Caron Cake Yarn in a variety of colors. This is something new for me to make. They look so pretty, like a flower in your hair when you double or triple them over to make your ponytail.
Over the past week, I have been making hundreds of hair ties from Fold Over Elastic also known as Elastic Ribbon. I will be selling most of them at the fall craft fairs I will be going to. They are very popular because they do not cause your hair to crease or wave as regular ponytail elastics do. They are gentle on your hair and the elastic comes in many colors and styles. If you need some, I have many styles for sale in my Etsy shop.
Happy Labor Day! Fall will be here soon, although it does not feel like it at all on this hot and humid day in San Antonio, Texas. That brings to mind so many fun projects to do with yarn, including fancy and lacy boot cuffs! I have made a few and I will be starting some more in fun colors to wear this fall or winter if it ever turns cool here. I will put them up on my Etsy store as well. Have a great rest of your day!
Happy September 1, Fellow Crafters! It is hard to believe that fall will soon be upon us and with that, it is time for fall craft fairs. We will be doing several, including my husband's company, David's Garden Seeds. I make gardening aprons for his company and we will be selling handmade aprons at his booth as well as at my booth in the fall and in the spring. Today I will be making some new aprons for sale at the craft fairs. I have just 9 aprons left from this gardening season with deep pockets for gardening and/or crafting tools. I made a huge amount of them last fall and sold most of them at the craft fairs for last fall and this past spring but if you hurry, you can grab some. I dropped the price on all 9 of them last night on my Etsy shop, Trendy Treasure Trove to clear them out for my new season of aprons. You will love the deep pockets and you won't lose your cell phone anymore while you garden or craft because there is plenty of room for it in those deep 10" pockets. Have a wonderful Labor Day Weekend!
Good morning! I know it is the last day of August but Christmas will be here before you know it. I have several Christmas throws for sale on my Amazon store, Handmade By Juanita. They won't last long. If you are crafty, you should get working on your Christmas crafts now while you have lots of time and the selection of materials is good at the craft store.
I recently found some soft scrubby sparkly yarn on Amazon. It is good for cleaning dishes instead of using a dishcloth. I made some dish scrubbers and put them up for sale on my Amazon shop. They have sparkly fibers that look pretty and give the cloth texture to stand up to leftover food.
Good morning, Fellow Crafters! I just put up a new product that I made, cotton facial scrubbies made with cotton scrubby yarn. This is not like the scrubby yarn that is hard for scrubbing pots and pans. It is soft and fluffy and feels wonderful on your face. I found it at Michael's. I made a set of pink, salmon, and white scrubbies that are 4 inches by 5 inches, perfect for adding some facial cleanser and cleaning your face in the morning and evening. I hope you enjoy them.
Good Wednesday Morning, Fellow Crafters! Thank you for stopping by. I have been doing a lot of crafting and very little blogging. Starting today, I will be doing a lot more blogging to keep you in the loop about what is going on. I have two online shops now, one on Amazon and the other on Etsy and sales are finally starting to increase.
I just launched a new line of hair ties and scrunchies on both Etsy and Amazon Handmade and I am excited about it.
Soon, I will be making a small store here on HandmadeByJuanita.com in addition so that you do not have to pay all of the extra fees involved in selling on Amazon and Etsy.
This morning I added links on this website to my social media sites, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram so you can see the latest items that I make. I will start adding to the website on a more consistent basis. Thank you for your patience!
